The Jazz Department of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire signs off the term with their customary festival atmosphere of back to back bands at Eastside Jazz Club. The RBC Jazz Orchestra plays modern classics, followed by the RBC Ellington Orchestra playing highlights from New Orleans Suite and a reprise of some of the Afro Bossa material. Then Eastside Voices take the stage for another dazzling array of close harmony singing and scat. The grand finale is of course our ever-popular Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra so bring your dancing shoes and the right energy to match. It’s going to be a great party after a long term.
6.30pm Jazz Orchestra- dir. Jeremy Price
7.10pm Ellington Orchestra- dir. Jeremy Price
7.50pm Eastside Voices- dir. Sara Colman and Noemi Nuti
8.30pm Afro Cuban – dir. Andrew Bain and Sophie Hastings
