Jamie Savan director

The Gonzaga Band
Freddi Vespers (1616) (world premiere)

The Gonzaga Band brings to life this beautiful and innovative Vespers setting for the first time in 400 years. Smaller in scale than Monteverdi's famous 1610 setting, Amadio Freddi's version is no less virtuosic in its demands for vocal consort and sparkling obbligato writing for cornet and violin.
