The Young Composers’ Project is an initiative set up by Birmingham Conservatoire’s Head of Composition Joe Cutler and led by composer Kirsty Devaney. The project involves young composers who have been attending workshops from October 2014 to March 2015, where they have worked with professional and student composers and musicians. This concert will showcase the huge range of music that has been produced and will reflect the diversity of styles and openness of the group. The Young Composers’ Project has encouraged young people to find their own musical voice, by giving them freedom to experiment with their music in a creative and safe environment, producing startlingly wonderful effects.

Further information and details of how you can join the project next time
