Flatpack Festival: Remodelling the Happiness Machine + Q&A

Following on from Fizzle’s all-female lineup, this selection of shorts continues to celebrate creative women with a programme of films that saw 10 animators collaborating with 10 composers from across Europe.

The starting point for the commissioned works was Austrian economist Christian Felber’s theory ‘The Economy for the Common Good’. The films delve into the subject in varied ways, and ultimately animate a conversation about the future of the world. The films screening include Bloomers by Samantha Moore made with Swedish composer Malin Bång, and The Flounder by Elizabeth Hobbs, made with German composer Carola Bauckholt.

Following the screening, there will be a discussion about the collaborative process and the themes of the films.
