One of the most renowned names in new music, Martijn Padding’s music is instantly recognisable, displaying a fascination for brightness, contrasts between the logical and the illogical, and cunning rather than grand gestures.

Thallein are delighted to present some key works from Padding’s recent oeuvre alongside Head of Composition Joe Cutler’s fascinating work for Barrel Organ and Ensemble, and brand new pieces from MMus composition students Roché Van Tiddens and Amoret Abis.

We are thrilled to welcome Martijn Padding for Frontiers week from the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague, where he is professor and head of composition.
