A movement from Beethoven’s Ghost Trio opens this titanic concert! It ends with the first Rasumovsky Quartet, which radically increased the length and scale of the quartet over anything ever conceived before. There is also a chance to hear Ravel’s Septet - arguably the most sensual piece of chamber music ever written.
