In the first of the festival's coffee concerts, enjoy six ground-breaking works for string quartet by six of the greatest composers for the genre. The movement from Brahms's Quartet in B flat is dominated by the viola – an unheard of idea and Haydn's Seven Last Words finish with an extraordinary musical depiction of an earthquake.
