Ravel Sonatine
Lieberman Nocturne No.5
Chopin Ballade No.4 in F minor, Op.52

“I have indeed suffered and wept enough – but what did it avail?” Mozart, after hearing about his mother’s death.

Mozart’s Sonata in A minor is full of tragedy. Linked strongly with his mother’s death, the sonorities of this sonata are closely linked to the young man’s frame of mind at the time.

Together with Chopin’s beloved fourth Ballade, this recital will take you through an intense and emotional journey of musical ideas and human expression.
