Festival Parisien

Paris is the theme of this mid-year festival, bringing the warmth, colour, mystery and joie de vivre of French music to a wintry Birmingham, as well as the musical fruits of unrequited passion, most notably in the extraordinary Piano Quintet of César Franck.

We will hear seasoned favourites, some in unfamiliar guises, such as an arrangement of Debussy’sL'après midi d'un faune, and works scarcely ever played such as the Quintets of Milhaud and solo piano music from Les Six.

The concerts are all about an hour in length, and the great majority are performed by students.

Bienvenu à la fête!
