2023 CASSGB Playday
Join the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Great Britain for a day of performances, masterclasses and play sessions at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on Sunday 1 October.
Highlights include:
• Klezmer workshop with international duo Susie Evans (clarinet) and Silvia Csaranko (accordion)
• Improvisation sessions with the multi award-winning jazz saxophonist and RBC Jazz tutor, Trish Clowes
• World premières of works by Anna Appleby and Howard Skempton performed by the Laefer Quartet (pictured)
Anna Hashimoto and CASS GB president Richard Ingham will kick off the day directing clarinet and saxophone ensemble sessions. The event with cumulate with a massed single reed performance directed by James Rae, performances from visiting artists plus RBC alumnus Peter Cigleris will join the British Clarinet Ensemble directed by Nigel Wood.
