Tom Harris is a pianist and composer from Manchester, currently in his third year of study at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. His new quintet brings together performers from various musical backgrounds to showcase original compositions, inspired by artists such as GoGo Penguin, Portico Quartet, and Bill Laurance, with an emphasis on collective improvisation.

This is a band looking to explore different corners of the jazz idiom. They play a mixture of music from the past, contemporary masters as well as original music. The influence on the direction of the band comes from leaders such as Cannonball Adderley, Kenny Garrett and Will Vinson but with a mixture of different musical personalities manages to achieve it's own unique sound.
