Karim Visram

Senior Lecturer in Computing

School of Computing and Digital Technology

Karim initially worked as a trainee analyst and programmer for The Wellcome Foundation (now part of GlaxoSmithKline). He then worked as an analyst/programmer and also a development engineer for Midlands Electricity PLC (this is now part of Western Power Distribution) for fourteen years.

Karim taught (part-time) at Matthew Boulton College of Higher and Further Education to ONC level Computing students. He then taught (part time) at Bournville College of Further Education to HNC level Computing students. 

Karim was a (part-time) Visiting Lecturer in Computing Science at The University of Birmingham for five years. He is now currently a (full-time) Senior Lecturer in Computing at Birmingham City University. He is also a (part-time) Associate Lecturer for The Open University.
