William teaches on the following courses:
- Technology Entrepreneurship (at Masters level)
- Consultancy and Professional ICT (on the final year of the BSc Business Information Technology)
William is currently Director of International Recruitment for the Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment. He has a particular interest in China and took a leading role in the development of a number of links and joint programmes with Chinese universities. He has been learning Mandarin for several years.
He teaches Technology Entrepreneurship at Masters level, with a particular emphasis on the impact of globalisation on IT, IT culture and green IT.

William's main research interests are in green IT, in particular exploring links between organisational culture and the willingness of companies to adopt green IT measures. His other interests include the impact of globalisation on IT, and artificial intelligence, in particular natural language processing.
