The chances of the UK leaving the EU with or without a deal, Boris Johnson as Prime Minister, what lies in store after October 31 and what this means for the West Midlands are all topics that will be discussed by a panel of experts at an upcoming Brexit Breakfast event hosted by the Centre for Brexit Studies.
The Centre’s Brexit Breakfast events have returned for 2019, offering attendees the opportunity to discuss Brexit and how it will impact them and their industry, as well as the chance to network with other business professionals, and enjoy breakfast and refreshments before starting their working day.
Titled ‘Brexit Breakfast: Deal or No Deal?’, the event will look into and discuss:
- The UK leaving the EU with or without a deal
- Boris Johnson’s new role of Prime Minister and his cabinet
- What lies in store after October 31
- What a no deal scenario could mean for the West Midlands
The panel will be hosted by Professor Alex de Ruyter, Director at the Centre for Brexit Studies.
Hosted by - Dr Jacob Salder, Research Fellow in the Centre for Enterprise Innovation and Growth at Birmingham City University.
Steve McCabe MP - Labour MP for Birmingham Selly Oak.
Arantza Gomez Arana - Lecturer in Social Sciences at Birmingham City University and Research Fellow at the Centre for Brexit Studies.
Phil Bennion - Liberal Democrat MEP for the West Midlands.
Henrietta Brealey - Director Policy & Strategic Relationships at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and lead in GBCC’s Brexit activity, including support for businesses in preparing for Brexit.
This event is taking place at Birmingham City University’s Curzon Building on Friday September 6 2019, between 7.30am-9.30am.
