David Proverbs
Current activity:
David provides leadership, as well as strategic and operational management, in relation to the development and implementation of the Faculty’s international strategy. He is the editor of the International Journal of Sustainable Development and Planning, and a member of the editorial board for the CIOB Construction Annual Review, Disaster Prevention and Management, and Financial Management of Property and Construction journals. David is also Chair of the Council of Heads of the Built Environment (CHOBE) in the UK and Co-Editor of the Structural Survey - Journal of Building Pathology and Refurbishment. David is a member of the CIOB Educational Committee and a member of the RICS UK Education Standards Board.

Biography:
David Proverbs, Professor of Construction Management, BSc (Hons), PG.Cert. Ed, PhD, FHEA, FCIOB, FRICS began his academic career in 1994 as a Research Assistant, this following 10 years of project management experience in the UK construction sector. He is Associate Dean - International in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment at Birmingham City University and provides leadership, strategic and operational management in relation to the development and implementation of the Faculty's International Strategy.
