Andy is an experienced engineer and senior executive, with over 25 years’ experience in industrial research and advanced product technology. He holds 23 patents and has been an active participant in international standards bodies and forums, as well as being a member of both the IEEE and the SCTE. His knowledge of software development tools and processes, among others, stems from a series of technical leadership positions with Motorola, including Director of the UK research lab and Vice-President of Research at Motorola Mobility. Andy’s last role in industry was vice-president and director of ARRIS’s Applied Research Centre, where he led the team that creates new products and services for the cable and IP TV industry.
