Interested in taking part in training directly related to working with young children and families? Access free upskilling courses to help boost your employability and support you with your career.

Early Years Career Progression Pathways (EYCPP), part-funded by the European Social Fund, is a programme designed to provide you with the vital skills required to excel within the Early Years and Childcare sector.

Bringing together expertise from Birmingham City University (BCU), Newman University, West Smethwick Enterprise (WSE) and Barnardo's, the partnership will deliver an innovative programme of free tailored skills workshops and webinars.

How does EYCPP work?

Once you have completed the form, you will be matched with a dedicated Skills Adviser who will work closely with you to identify and address your skills requirements. As part of your personalised development planning, you will also be advised on the learning opportunities available through the partnership, to find the best courses suited for your career aspirations.

And the support doesn’t stop once you have finished. Your Skills Advisor will continue to support you if you need and you will be able to continue to access further workshops and webinars under the programme.

EYCPP will help you to:

• Identify the skills needed to develop your career
• Create and complete a personalised action plan
• Access a wide range of webinars and workshops to support your progression into Early Years employment
• Support to secure valuable placement and practical opportunities
• Provide access to a network of Early Years professionals

Eligibility:

You must be over 18, have Right to Work in the UK and live in the GBSLEP More Developed Area (Birmingham, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Redditch or Wyre Forest).
