Dr Shishank Shishank

Centre Director

Dr. Shishank Shishank has a multidisciplinary background with a PhD in Operations Management from the University of the West of Scotland. His PhD brings together both management and engineering concepts and was titled Outsourcing: Decision-making during the stages of Design and Engineering.

Professor Olinga Taeed

Olinga Ta’eed is Visiting Professor in Blockchain at Birmingham City University. He is Director of the independent not-for-profit Centre for Citizenship, Enterprise and Governance, the world’s leading think tank on the movement of value (measurement, transaction, delivery) with 165,000 members. In April 2019 he was appointed to the 7-person Chinese Ministry of Commerce’s “China E-Commerce Blockchain Committee” which has oversight of 70% of the global US$ 103 trillion future market. He is Chief Editor of the peer review academic journal Frontiers in Blockchain with 488 editors, Social Value & Intangibles Review with 125 editors, and UK government sponsored Efficiency Exchange.

MBA ACIB MIRM, a former 30 year senior banker including Head of Card Scheme Global Governance at Barclays responsible for 35 million card holders in 25 countries, Director of Payments Integrity and Security at UK Finance responsible for cybersecurity of the UK’s banking infrastructure, and currently a financial services NED, part of the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Authority oversight.
