Naila is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Birmingham City Business School and the Associate Programme Director for the MSc Management programme.
Naila has been exposed to a variety of educational systems and work environments having lived and worked in the Middle East, South Asia and South East Asia. She has extensive experience of teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level at a number of institutions of Higher Education including Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR, Jamaica, China and the UK.
She has a particular interest in research related to differences in consumer behaviour across cultures and ethnicities, and the manner in which these influence the marketing activities of domestic and multinational organisations operating in various markets.
Naila has also been involved in applied research projects relating to market research that is undertaken for local SMEs and charities. She has also been part of a working group for an HEA project addressing the internationalisation of curriculum and the student experience.
