Dr Muhammad Akbar is a Senior Lecturer in Finance and the Course Leader for MFIN and BSc (Hons) Finance and Investment. He has over 15 years of academic experience covering the development and delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and modules.
Dr Muhammad’s research interests are in the areas of Asset Pricing Theory, Market Efficiency and Investments. His PhD studies focused on differential beta portfolios, firm opacity and asset pricing in the UK. He is research active and has published in refereed international journals. He is also professionally qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an MCSI (Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment).
