Lily Mitchell

Lily Mitchell is a PhD student and curator based in the United Kingdom working in collaboration with Birmingham City University and the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art, Manchester. She has studied fine art at Liverpool John Moores University and curating and history of art at Liverpool Hope University. In the past she has worked for the Worthing Museum and Art Gallery collections, the Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool and Liverpool Biennial 2012.

Her current research is in collaboration with Birmingham City University and the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art in Manchester, investigating the curatorial strategies surrounding contemporary Chinese art in UK art institutions including transcultural artistic practices and audience engagements.
