Maya Jaber

Born in Lebanon and immigrated to the United States at the age of 7, Maya Jaber has been a creative and social justice advocator since a young age. She has a degree in Interior Design and worked in Architectural/Design field in the US for most of her career.

She has a master’s in design management where she saw the influence Design Thinking strategies can influence and build businesses. Through her 20 plus year career she had worked with for profit, non-profit and government organizations to help them improve process, standards, engagement and work towards a more sustainable organization. Her Ph.D.

Research is based on holistic culture change strategies for behavior shifts for sustainability management. In her years of experience in the design/build industry and as an educator, she has learned to build trust, establish credibility, and be an effective communicator. She is a holistic thinker who has both systems thinking and design thinking expertise, to be able breakdown systems and be able to rebuild them for organizational optimization.

Throughout her career, she has assisted in the design of internal processes for optimizing systems, worked closely with teams to collaborate, to define, design, and adapt capabilities of set KPI’s; established baseline metrics and measurement systems to understand and build better strategies; collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to drive program adoption.

She has developed educational programs, workshops, and presented solution strategies to internal and external stakeholders. She is an analyst with both system thinking and design thinking expertise that understands holistic macro connections to refocus to the micro for the creation of innovative strategies. Her research interest is in finding ways to better influence organizational behavior and culture change to embed Sustainability / Environmental Social Governance Initiatives / Corporate Responsibility that will lead to a social equality and a healthier future for all.
