Gutted

Warwickshire Youth Waits are a renaissance band playing repertoire ranging from medieval cantigas to the polychoral Italian repertoire of Gabrieli, and of course plenty of Praetorius, Susato and Playford. They play on Warwickshire Music Hub's fantastic range of period instruments, including renaissance recorders, crumhorns, viols, gemmshorns and shawms. Gutted are a three-part viol consort exploring the varied repertoire of music for a small chamber ensemble. They play everything from the early repertoire of Byrd and Gibbons, to later baroque music by Charpentier and Purcell, to music written by living composers. They have just released a cd funded by a partnership award from Music For Youth called 'Gambists in the Making'.

This event will take place in the foyer on Level 2.
