Jamie Phillips makes a welcome return to Royal Birmingham Conservatoire for the end-of-year Symphony Orchestra concert, following his visit to lead the final of the Cecil Aronowitz Prize in 2017.
In tonight's concert he will conduct three outstanding Conservatoire student winners of the BPO Concerto Prize, giving them the opportunity to perform their concerto with the Symphony Orchestra in a concert which will also include a short new piece by student composer George West and conclude with a true orchestral showpiece.
