Parisienne Festival: Duets for Two Harps
Festival Parisien
Recital Hall, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
200 Jennens Road, B4 7XR
A showcase concert by students and staff from the Conservatoire, this promises to be one of the highlights of the festival. The Ravel Septet is a masterpiece of ravishing sensuality, and the Mask of the Red Death by Caplet is a superb and dramatic musical portrayal of one of Edgar Alan Poe’s celebrated Tales. The concert will be introduced by Eleanor Turner, with fascinating facts about the harp and its history.
