Preparing to Teach Workshop
Are you about to begin your NQT year this September? Would you like to know more about how you can get off to a great start as you begin your first year of teaching? If so, why not join us for a morning of presentations and conversations at our ‘Preparing to Teach’ Workshop?
This event is open to all BCU 2018 graduates from the primary/ secondary/ PCET BAQTS and PGCE programmes.
Workshop will include:
- Teachers from our partnership schools who will talk about what the school will be expecting from you on your first day and answer any questions that you might have.
- A Q and A session with a panel of teachers who have just successfully completed their NQT year. They will talk about their experiences as NQTs, what their first day in post was like, what to expect and how to avoid any pitfalls.
- Other sessions TBC
Registration is open from 9.30am. Please register here via eventbrite and download/ print your ticket off Eventbrite and bring this with you on the day. You will need to sign in on arrival at City South Campus. Please inform campus security of the event you are attending (Preparing to Teach Workshop) and then make your way to the Registration Desk where you will be able to register for the event.
Tea/ Coffee/ Water and pastries will be available in SCT253 from 9.30am.
If you wish to access the campus’ Wi-Fi please ensure that you request a password from the Registration Desk. You will need to sign for this.
