Black Studies at Birmingham City University will be hosting the latest Malcolm X Study Circle in collaboration with the Harambee Organisation of Black Unity.

Artist, writer and historian Akala will be leading this session talking about the 'Haitian Revolution', and staff from the Black Studies course will put the legacies of the rebellion in the context of today.

The event (which will take place at the Millennium Point Auditorium) will showcase Black Political Activism, a key strand of the new BA (Hons) Black Studies degree. Our Black Studies team will also be on hand to discuss our new degree in detail.
