Summer 2022 ceremonies

Guest tickets

We know that celebrating graduation ceremonies with family and friends is important to our graduates and we are excited to announce the guest ticket sale dates. There are a few things you need to know in order to book your tickets successfully to enjoy your celebration with your guests.

Guest tickets are available only to graduates who have registered their attendance at their ceremony. We have emailed all eligible graduates with instructions on how to book their guest tickets and when they are released on sale.

Guest tickets can be booked online from Monday 23 May 2022, and each graduate will receive a direct link to their ceremony via email. Please note that telephone bookings are currently not available.

The full schedule of guest tickets going on sale is available here:

All graduates are eligible to book two guest tickets initially to allow everyone an equal chance to bring guests with them, should they wish. If you have booked more than two tickets during the initial sale period, these will automatically be cancelled, and the purchaser will be liable for any booking fees incurred.

If any additional guest tickets become available, these will be released on general sale two weeks after the initial sale date and we will email all of our graduates when this happens.

We are working closely with Symphony Hall’s Box Office to make the ticketing process as simple as possible for you. So that we can identify your booking easily, and provide assistance and advice if necessary, please ensure that you enter your eight digit student ID number (e.g. 12345678) and full name when making a booking.

Tickets cost £20.00 for adults and £10.00 for children (aged 18 months-14 years) plus £3.00 booking fee. For information about our policy on children attending please see our FAQs page on the menu above.

Please note the following flat-rate booking fee charges are applied by the Symphony Hall Box Office:

  • £3.00 per ticket for on-line, telephone and counter bookings
  • £1.50 for postage of tickets (applicable to UK address only, overseas addresses are advised to collect tickets on the day).
  • Lost tickets - a minimum charge of £2.00 will be made by Symphony Hall for printing duplicate tickets.

We encourage you to choose the e-ticket option to avoid postage costs and receive your ticket directly to your email address, which can then be scanned on the day.

Double award holders

If you already hold or are due to be awarded multiple awards at BCU and your graduation ceremonies are scheduled for different dates/times, and you opt to attend them both, you will be eligible to purchase up to two guest tickets for each event you are attending. Please note you will be required to pay for all guest tickets you book.

If both of your awards are included in the same ceremony, you will be eligible to book up to two guest tickets initially, however you may be able to book more tickets if they become available on general sale.

Additional support requirements

We are keen to support all of our graduates and guests and Symphony Hall offer a number of accessible seats. If you require a ticket with disabled access, additional room, a carer ticket, or are unable to book online please email and we will support you with your requirements.
