Poulenc Sextet for Piano and Wind Quintet, Op. 100

Two short piano pieces by Debussy followed by two chamber works from opposite ends of the spectrum of all things French.  Fauré’s  Trio, written in his 70s, is subtle, elusive, endlessly swirling in a watery way, while Poulenc’s Sextet is concise, witty, satirical, eclectic, and embraces elements of jazz and ragtime.
