The Odeion String Quartet is a flagship of the University of the Free State, South Africa and symbolises the University’s commitment to the arts. There the quartet plays an important strategic role in the development of symphony orchestra music and in classical music training. Hear them perform Komeng, a five minute South African piece that imitates Uhadi bows as well as pieces by Haydn and Shostakovich.
Join us as we take the Conservatoire out into the City, for a series of lunchtime concerts in the elegant surroundings of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
