Birmingham City University Alumni Association will be holding an Alumni Reception to help mark the start of this year’s Inspired Festival – a celebration of the work of nearly 6,000 students.

The Reception will take place on the same evening as the private view of the University’s Graduate Shows 2015 in our Parkside Building. This is an opportunity for some of our newest graduates to showcase their work to friends, family, colleagues, industry, the public and their fellow alumni.

There will be live music, refreshments and canapés, and plenty of time to walk round the shows including the BCU in Pictures exhibition celebrating the University’s successes over the academic year. There will also be an opportunity to purchase work directly from graduates on the evening.

School’s showcasing work:

This event is free to attend and open to graduates of Birmingham City University or one of its predecessor institutions. Places are limited and booking is essential. You are welcome to bring a guest.

Inspired Festival 2015

Taking place between June and July as part of our Inspired festival, our graduate shows are a culmination of the creativity, hard work and progression our Art, Design and Media students have shown since joining our institution. The shows will be a celebration of the students and their innovative work, and an opportunity for them to showcase their inventive, fresh ideas to audiences.

Inspired will showcase to the city and the region a series of concerts, performances, exhibitions, design, written work and more, demonstrating the high-level skills and transformative experiences that shape and define our graduates.
