Enjoy a special concert and public masterclass with the legendary performer Idil Biret.

Idil studied with Nadia Boulanger, Alfred Cortot and Wilhelm Kempff and has made over 100 recordings including the Beethoven Sonatas and Concertos, Ligeti and Boulez, and the complete works for piano of Brahms, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin.

The latter was rewarded in 2007 when the President of Poland, Lech Kaczsnky awarded Idil the country’s highest award for her contribution to their cultural life, the Cross of the Order of Merit. She also holds the Dinu Lipatti Gold Medal, French Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite, and is State Artist of Distinction in Turkey.
