Purcell Suite in G major, Z.662

Award-winning pianist, Horacio Lavandera presents ... just as the sun is always ... by renowned contemporary British composer, Christian Mason. This work was commissioned by the pianist after they both met at the Stockhausen courses in Germany in 2004. The work is intimate and very expressive where, as the title reflects, the energy of love is always present.

Rounding the program there are known masterpieces by Henry Purcell, Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

His intelligence shines through everything he touches here.” Colin Clarke, Fanfare Magazine

Is beautifully played by his fellow countryman Horacio Lavandera, a specialist in contemporary music.” Graham Lock, International Piano UK
