Bridge Piano Sonata H.160
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major Op.58

A rare opportunity to hear one of the finest British composition for piano, Bridge’s plaintive Piano Sonata H. 160, composed in response to the tragic death of a student, and the horrors witnessed during World War I.

Paired with this, Beethoven’s serene Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major op. 58, a late classical masterpiece, performed in an remarkable arrangement for piano and string chamber ensemble.

Performed by Birmingham Conservatoire final year pianist Eden Walker, with support from fellow student string players.
