The School of Acting at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is based at Ruskin Hall in Bournville. This location has a variety of classrooms and rehearsal spaces and is just a short journey from City Centre Campus and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Ruskin Hall is close to Bournville train station and local bus stops, so travelling around the city easy and accessible. You will also find a row of cafes and shops directly opposite the building in the centre of Bournville and a green space where students can go to socialise and enjoy the surroundings.

Parkside and Curzon, City Centre Campus  Parkside-studios  

Students have access to state-of-the art studios and facilities across our City Centre Campus. We have four large TV studios in Parkside, including Europe’s largest green screen studio and a radio studio. Three of the studios feature live multi-camera production and all studios TV and radio can be interconnected.

Our £63 million Curzon Building is home to our biggest library, with two floors of books, journals and AV resources – as well as drama studios, complete with a technical rooms to control light, sound and ambience. Many central services such as the Careers+ team, student employment agency, and ASK helpdesk are also based here to support our students during their time studying with us.   


10 Bromley Street, Digbeth Artists impression  

In 2024, School of Acting students will have access to an exciting space in Birmingham’s creative quarter in Digbeth - just a short walk from New Street Station and City Centre Campus. Bromley Street has a range of acoustic studios and performance spaces including a black-box studio, making it an ideal place for rehearsals and teaching in the heart of the city.

Digbeth has a long reputation for being the creative quarter of Birmingham, and with recent announcements of the BBC relocating there and the launch Steven Knight’s Digbeth Loc. Studios, the future of the area is very exciting.


Royal Birmingham Conservatoire RBC Stage  

Our prestigious £57 million Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Building is located in our City Centre Campus. Students have full access to the facilities here, which include rehearsal spaces, performance studios, black-box studio and acoustically modelled performance halls.

Students also have the opportunity to take part in and enjoy a range of live performances offered at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Heneage Street

Our Stage Management students are primarily based at Unit 3B, Heneage Street close to our City Centre Campus. Students have specialist spaces here to create stage materials and productions ready for theatres and performances.


Millennium Point Millennium Point building  

Ahead of our move to Bromley Street, Acting students will spend time at Millennium Point on our city centre campus. The previous home of the School of Acting, there are four large self-contained, purpose-built drama studios that you will spend time in alongside your teaching at Ruskin Hall. Our facilities are also a few hundred metres from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with its café and bar facilities.
