There are plenty of places to go for housing, shopping, money issues and hunger.
Second year MMus student Ben Weatherill picks out his favourite places at our City Centre Campus.
The Eagle & Ball
The Eagle & Ball is the brand new SU pub, with great prices and drinks available, it's the perfect place to go hang out with friends after a hard days work. Better still, it's just three minutes walk from Curzon Gateway and Jennens Court.
The campus shop
The campus shop, located at the entrance of the Curzon Building, is a great place to grab your essentials such as food, stationery and, of course, University hoodies.
Students' Union accommodation service
Our Students' Union accommodation service has a great range of student lets by private landlords in and around the city with great access to the University and city centre. Pop in for a visit or you can find out more at Birmingham City Student Homes.
The Square Deli
While at the Curzon Building, the Square Deli is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. With its large canteen, fresh produce and a wide range of drinks and large seating area, you’ll never go hungry. And if you can’t be bothered to make breakfast, or run out of milk? If you live at Jennens or Curzon Gateway, it's just over road!
The University's Ask Service is located at the Curzon Building, 1st floor. The Service is the hub for student services; it's very useful for students wanting help in any area such as financial help, health and wellbeing, careers and jobs, visas and immigration, student mentoring and child care.
The Curzon Building library
The Curzon Building library is a great place for students to find a quiet place to come study. It has fantastic access to resources, books, DVDs, computers, binding machines and study rooms. It also has its own café and, if you've forgotten your pen, vending machines to sell stationery.
Centre for Academic Success
On the ground floor you'll find the Centre for Academic Success. This is a fantastic service where you can gain access to help with your academic studies.
The Parkside Gallery
The Parkside Gallery is a great place to come and see exhibitions of students' work. The gallery is fully open during regular University opening hours and events are regularly held here with installations in the Parkside Shell space such as Flatpack Film Festival.
Campus café and shop
On the second floor of the Parkside Building you'll find a campus café and another campus shop specifically catering for all those arty types with stationery and arts and craft materials, so you don't have to go far if you run out of paint.
Millennium Point canteen
If you find yourself over at Millennium Point there's a great space up on the second floor where students can hang out, relax, study, or grab a bite to eat at the Millennium Point canteen.
