Jonathan Griffiths is a Video and Motion Graphic Designer, Director, company owner, and Lecturer at Birmingham City University. Over 15 years creative and digital agency experience working for national and international creative studios and brands underpins his work today. Within 2 years his company has received direct commission from a growing number of clients such as PayPal, University of Birmingham, Town Hall Symphony Hall, London’s Footpatrol store (part of JD sports), and in addition to working directly with such clients, his company provides motion content in many shapes and forms to an expanding list of creative agencies and production companies regionally and nationwide, working on Brands such as Butlins, Haven, Nokia and Kering.
During his BA studies in 3D Product Design at the University of Wolverhampton, Jonny won a Royal Society of Arts national design competition (awarded by Birmingham City University alumni & Fashion Designer Betty Jackson) before undertaking postgraduate study in Visual Communication at Birmingham Institute of Art & Design, where his growing interest and passion for the moving image was developed.
A practical hands on and hybrid interdisciplinary approach, love for both tech and tradition, passion for conceptual exploration and visual problem solving, all drive forward Jonny’s practice and teaching.
