Current Activities
Richard teaches on the following courese:
Richard is an active software developer, systems analyst and Internet server administrator, his research interests are in the areas of community currencies, other online reputation systems and related areas of social networking.
Knowledge gained from these activities support Richard's teaching portfolio in software engineering, systems security and development of secure applications.

Biography
Richard is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing, Telecommunications and Networks.
Richard started his career as a graduate engineer in the telecommunications industry during a period of technical and regulatory revolution transforming all methods and products, resulting in the digitisation of the core UK telecommunications network.
His work within higher education initially involved supporting the use and development of computers and networks. Richard's development and delivery of training materials within this role then led to his full involvement in the academic programme of Birmingham City University, teaching programming, network software development, operating systems, security and software engineering subject areas to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and in respect of project supervision.
