There are many reasons why people decide to try a vegan diet, including a love of animals, the environment or making improvements to their health and nutrition. But whether you’re an experienced vegan or are trying it out for the first time, Birmingham is full of amazing restaurants that have heaps of yummy vegan dishes.

Here’s our guide to some of the best vegan food spots in Birmingham

1) Ba-Ha at The Rainbow

Ba-Ha have really made a name for themselves on the Birmingham vegan scene, serving up innovative, homemade vegan food is what they do best. Currently, they're based in The Rainbow, a cosy pub in Digbeth - we couldn't think of anywhere better to tuck into a comforting, hearty meal.

2) Cherry Reds café bar

Get yourself an all-day vegan breakfast at Cherry Reds. For under a tenner, you can tuck into a hearty vegan breakfast that's sure to fill you to the brim.

3) Vietnamese Street Kitchen

This family-owned Vietnamese restaurant has its own separate vegan menu where you'll find everything from spicy 'chicken' wings, spring rolls, bao buns and pho. Its handy location, right in the Bullring, makes it our favourite stop for some post-shopping munch.

4) Land

An up-market option for a treat meal for vegetarians and vegans alike, Land is found in the Great Western Arcade and covers everything from a la carte to tasting menus. Perfect for a special occasion, plant-based style!

5) Café Soya

Birmingham's China town is a great spot to hunt down vegan food, with lots of restaurants having a separate vegan menu, but our favourite has to be Café Soya. A small, casual Chinese café that is 100% worth the queue that sometimes gathers outside.
