Accessible Rooms
We work with the Disability Services team (disability@bcu.ac.uk / +44 (0)121 331 5588) to make sure that students who need accessible/adapted accommodation are allocated the correct type of room.
Your Disability Adviser will be able to arrange accessible accommodation for you when they meet you to discuss your needs. However, you will still need to complete a standard accommodation form, which will be sent to you by the University. Please ensure you provide details of you disability
and any specific requirements on the online line accommodation application form
in the addition information section.
You can apply to stay in the same accommodation after your first year if you need an accessible/adapted room. Please discuss this with your Disability Adviser. Accessible/adapted rooms are allocated first to returning students and the remaining rooms are available to first year students with disabilities.
If you are applying through Clearing, we recommend that you check with a Disability Adviser to ensure that an accessible room would be available for you. Despite this precaution, we have not had any problems meeting disabled students' accommodation needs to date.
