Pelham Carter has been a lecturer at BCU since October 2015. He is currently the acting programme director for the GradDip in Psychology and the upcoming MSc in Psychology. He is also the module leader for Cognitive Psychology, and contribute to Cyberpsychology, Research Methods and cyber related content for the MSc Forensic Psychology course.

Prior to this, Pelham was Senior Lecturer and Course Leader of Psychology with Counselling at the University of Huddersfield. He has also been a Lecturer at the University of Suffolk.

Pelham studied at the University of Hull and his PhD was on sources of spatial information and competition within virtual environments. Much of his research either involves the use of virtual reality technology and environments, or is focused on how people behave in online settings (trolling, flaming, bullying, forum use and online communities).
