Psychologists, researchers and students are to gather at Birmingham City University for the first ever British Psychological Society conference held in the Midlands.
The event on Monday 3 September will see psychology experts discuss some of their latest research, including studies exploring food allergies in adolescents, critical moments in the careers of elite football players, how the super-rich talk about excessive spending and public attitudes on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
Dr Martin Turner, Chairman of the BPS West Midlands Branch Committee, said: “Psychology is thriving and this conference is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the success of Midlands-based researchers and practitioners, as well inspiring a new generation of psychologists.”
The British Psychological Society (BPS) is a registered charity which acts as the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK, and is responsible for the promotion of excellence and ethical practice in the science, education, and application of the discipline.
