Embedding academic writing practices in subject specialist teaching

This project involves working with teaching teams across the faculty to develop strategies and materials for the development of academic writing within subject specialist teaching.

Such development activities could include short unassessed writing formatives, double-entry journals, free writing, peer review and use of writing frameworks.

Lecturers will work with the project worker to co-develop and embed writing development materials into existing modules in order that they can be delivered in an integrated way. The project worker will then co-deliver and/or support the delivery of the materials with students. All generic materials, with guidance notes for lecturers, will be made available across the University through Shareville/Sharepoint.
