Judy was a staff midwife at Gloucester Royal Hospital and after having a break for ‘motherhood’ she returned to an orthopaedics/trauma ward for a number of years before working at the Royal orthopaedic hospital in the High Dependency unit.
She has always had a keen interest in education and worked as one of the first Practice Placement Managers at QEH/SOH for two years before coming to work as a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham City University.
Judy is also a registered exercise professional and has completed seven marathons, she is a keen cyclist and gym inhabitant and conducts classes at Birmingham City University for students and staff.
Judy was a Faculty winner for the Extra Mile Award for Student Support in 2012 and nominated again in 2013.
