Nicola began her career as a radiographer at Birmingham General Hospital in 1993, progressing to two further senior Radiographer roles at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham and Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
With almost a decade worth of practical work experience in the field, Nicola joined Birmingham City University as a Senior Lecturer in 2002, teaching and leading on a number of different modules within the Faculty of Health.
In 2009, she became the Lead Academic for Technology Enhanced Learning and Teaching, which involves working collaboratively with academic and clinical colleagues to develop their use of e-learning technology to support flexible and blended approaches to learning.
She progressed to her most current role at the University in 2011, as a Senior Learning and Teaching Fellow. In this role, Nicola ensures an effective Faculty contribution to the on-going development and implementation of the learning and teaching strategy. She also promotes and supports best practice in learning and teaching.
