Mike Brown is Head of the Centre for Corporate Reputation and Strategy at Birmingham City Business School and the founder of the ‘Britain’s Most Admired Companies’ research published annually in Management Today. With a PhD from York University he has published in a number of management journals, contributed to a number of edited texts and co-authored The Admirable Company book.

Having headed up the Centre for Corporate Reputation and Strategy at his previous University he has corporate teaching experience and has worked with a number of international companies including Arla Foods, Anglian Water, Bass, Coors, Gala-Coral, Greene Core, GPT, Keepmoat, Lloyds TSB, Mitchells and Butlers, Northern Foods, TNT, Severn Trent Water and J D Wetherspoon; in countries including Azerbaijan, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic and Zimbabwe.

He has accepted invitations to give lectures at Manchester and London Business Schools and has worked with Accenture, Echo Research and Mercer Consultancy. He has also shared some of his research findings at leading conferences around the world and with leading blue chip British companies including: BSkyB, Babcock International, Cadbury’s, Diageo, Greene King and Northern Foods.
