The Centre for Research in Education (CRE), based within the School of Education, is involved with researching all aspects of teaching and learning across a range of contexts from young children to schools, colleges, universities and lifelong learning.
The CRE has specific points of focus for its activity, including work on creativity, literacies, assessment, e-learning, and pedagogy. Research is undertaken on projects which help our understanding of teaching and learning and also with improving it. Our staff in the centre are all active as educators and researchers, and bring their near-field expertise to bear on all aspects of the work which takes place at the CRE.
