Undergraduate Applications

Applying for an undergraduate course

You should apply for your undergraduate course through the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) if you are:

  • At school or college in the UK
  • A mature student
  • An EU student

For international applicants, see Overseas Students below.

What qualifications do I need?

You should have a strong academic background to cope with the demands of our challenging courses. If you are applying as a mature student, you should contact us for advice.

Successful applications are usually based on your predicted grades at school or college, any evidence of your interest or experience in media – which means arranging some sort of media work experience for yourself – and the personal statement on your application form. We will select those people who we think have the potential to do well on the course.

Will I need to attend an interview?

When you apply for one of our undergraduate courses, you will be invited to an Applicant Day, at the end of which you will be interviewed and we will take a look at any work you have brought.

If you cannot attend, you will be invited to submit a postal interview instead – however, we strongly recommend that you attend the Applicant Day, as this will demonstrate that you understand the demands of the course and have a commitment to it.
