Kirsten O'Brien
After graduating from UCE, Kirsten landed a job at Tyne Tees TV, doing "everything from making the tea to researching, interviewing and directing the news bulletins."
Kirsten then moved into a slot on a regional children's science programme before deciding to make some show reels, which she sent to several children's TV shows. An interview and audition followed, and Kirsten became an established presenter at CBBC.
More recently Kirsten has been a series regular on Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive on BBC3, and has been presenting Smile, BBC2's live magazine show. Her many other credits include presenting the BAFTA-nominated Smart, and Kirsten Goes the Extra Mile to India for BBC Sports Relief.
Kirsten also has a great deal of experience in radio, having presented shows for both Capital FM and the BBC World Service.
In addition to this Kirsten has been building a career in comedy, doing a stand up show for the last few years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on London's comedy circuit.
