- Classes take place between 1.30 and 4.30pm
All students work in groups to prepare material which is appropriate to their age, experience and learning needs. All work leads to performances in the school's acting studio at the end of each term. Students are also offered the opportunity to study for and sit examinations from a number of boards including Guildhall, Trinity and RADA.
The work undertaken in this class requires a high level of commitment from the students, both in terms of regular attendance and also focus and concentration when in class. The aim is to make this learning a fun experience, but it needs to be recognised that dedication is required to make the most of the experience.
Class work will cover:
- Sophisticated application of reading and memory skills
- Development of skills in physical characterisation
- Development of vocal skills – spoken and sung
- Work in ensemble and small cast groups
- Exploration of the development of complex dramatic narrative
- Enhancement of the development of complex dramatic narrative
- Development of skills in stagecraft

Assessments
At the end of each term there will be a sharing of work. This will be either in the school’s studio theatre or in the classroom, depending upon the nature of the work being undertaken.
